WHAT IS DANCE COMPANY
For dancers who love performing and want “more than just a weekly class.”
Our teams and company are for dancers who want to make dancing and performing a priority. Dancers level up their technique, perform in exciting shows, and build friendships that often last a lifetime. They also learn commitment, responsibility, and teamwork that helps them in school, work, and “all of life’s performances.”
A Quick Note Before Joining!
Teammates count on each other, so please make sure the schedule works and you can attend all required rehearsal & performances. If a dancer misses too many rehearsals, they may need to step out and try again next year.
WE HAVE FOUR DIFFERENT WAYS to PERFORM MORE!
1. Nutcracker In-Studio
– Ages 3 yrs through 10yrs (age by Sep of school year)
– 15 week commitment (Aug 17- Dec 2)
– Perform in our magical In-Studio Nutcracker on Dec. 6th 2026
– A short, magical in‑studio ballet for dancers who want to dance alongside our Sugar Plum Fairy!
– A 20 min special performance without a year‑long commitment.
– Auditions are not neceassry, enrollment is open through June 15
2. Ballet Company
– Ages 4 yrs through Teen(age by Sep of school year)
– Year long commitment -Ballet performance on March 7th 2027
– Registration opens in once in Spring for following school year
– Ballet Focused
– For dancers who love classical ballet and want to perform a full story ballet on stage as part of a dedicated ballet company.
– Auditions are not neceassry, enrollment is open through June 15
– Auditions for select roles for Pointe Int & above will be held from 2:45-4:15pm on May 30th
3. Jazz or Hip Hop Performance Team
– Ages 4 yrs through 10yrs (age by Sep of school year)
– Performance Focused ages 4 yrs & up Jazz – 5yrs up Hip Hop
– For energetic dancers who love jazz or hip hop, want to perform more often, and be part of a fun, positive team.
– Auditions are not neceassry, enrollment is open through June 15
4. Competition-Focus Jazz or Hip Hop Team
– Ages 7 yrs through Teen (age by Sep of school year)
– For committed dancers ready for extra rehearsals, multiple competitions, and a more serious training path.
– Auditions are necessary and will be held from 4:30-6:30pm on May 30th
– Auditions for PreElite & Elite levels will be held from 6:45-8:45pm on May 29th
– Auditions for Hip Hop Team will be held from 8:20-9:20pm on May 28th

BALLET PERFORMANCE PROJECTS (WINTER)
Nutcracker Lite Winter (register by Jun 15)
Rehearsals Aug 17- Dec 2
A short, magical in-studio ballet for dancers who want a special performance without a year- long commitment.
Ages 3yrs though 10 yrs
Performances:
– In-Studio Nutcracker- Dec. 6th 2026 in-studio and zoom
– Includes a 20 minute classical ballet, costume & tights included
– For dancers currently enrolled in a weekly Ballet/Tap/Jazz, or Ballet/Jazz or Ballet II II+
BALLET COMPANY
School year commitment. Currently closed. Enroll in Spring for the following school year.
For dancers who love ballet and want to perform a full story ballet on stage with dancers of all ages! Come watch this year’s performance of “La Sylphide” on March 8th at RPAC!
Ages 4yrs through Teen
Performances:
– Optional Theater performance of Nutcracker if able to commit to additional rehearsals
Hermosa Playhouse 5pm Dec 12th 2026
– Ballet Company Show 12:00pm Sun March 7, 2027
– SDM Recital Jun 4, 5, & 6
Class requirements
– Ballet/Jazz/Tap dancers: 1 class + rehearsal weekly
– Ballet/Jazz Lev I/II II II+ or III dancers: 1 class + rehearsal weekly
– Ballet III/IV dancers: 2 classes weekly + rehearsal weekly
– Pointe: 3 Pointe Classes weekly + rehearsals
Weekly Rehearsal class listed on schedule
30 min private lessons may be used to makeup a weekly class requirement (45 for pointe)
JAZZ or HIP HOP PERFORMANCE TEAMS
School year commitment. Currently closed. Enroll in Spring for the following school year.
For dancers who love jazz or hip hop and want to perform more often with a team!
Ages 4yrs through 10yrs
Performances:
– Universal City Walk Performance (Feb)
– Company Show 3:45pm Sun March 7, 2027
– 1 Regional Competition early May (for most groups)
– SDM Recital Jun 4, 5, & 6
Class requirements
– Jazz Team: 1 Ballet/Jazz/Tap class weekly + rehearsal weekly
– Hip Hop Team: 1 hip hop class weekly+ rehearsal weekly
Weekly Rehearsal class listed on schedule
30 min private lessons may be used to makeup for class requirements
COMPETITION JAZZ & HIP HOP TEAMS
School year commitment. Currently closed. Enroll in Spring for the following school year.
Advanced training & Multiple Competitions
Auditions May 30, 2026 for the following school year.
For dancers ready to take their training to the next level with more rehearsals & multiple competitions.
Ages 7yrs through Teen
-ATTENTION we have a complimentary pre-audition class for all interested dancers!

-Company Show Sun March 7, 2027
– 4 Regional Competitions March through May including Memorial Day
– SDM Recital Jun 4, 5, & 6
Class requirements Jazz Team
– For Jazz Lev II II+ & III : 2 Ballet/Jazz weekly+ rehearsal weekly
– For Jazz Lev III/IV : 1 Ballet class + 1 Jazz class + 1 class of choice Ballet or Jazz + rehearsal weekly
– For Jazz Lev Accelerated thru Elite: 2 Ballet classes + 2 Jazz classes weekly + rehearsal weekly
Class requirements Hip Hop Team
– For Accelerated Level : 1 Accel Hip Hop class + 1 Ballet OR Jazz weekly + 1 rehearsal weekly
30 min private lessons may be used for class requirements
