The School of Dance and Music was
established to bring exceptional dance instruction to Hermosa Beach, Redondo Beach, Manhattan Beach, El Segundo, Torrance and South Bay areas.
In cooperation with our first rate Music Program, we offer a wide range
of options for children to adults.

Smaller Class Sizes
Enabling a student to get more individual instruction
from a teacher results in greater progress over a shorter period of
time. Capping our class sizes also ensures that the teacher can catch
problems before they turn into bad habits or improper technique.
Variety of Dance Styles & Methods
Highly qualified teachers with varied training and
teaching methods are available to teach in a broad range of dance formats...such as Ballet, Hip Hop, Jazz, Tap, Ballroom, Modern, as well as Preschool and Mommy and Me.
Our Dance Studio Advantage - The "Floating"
Professional Marley Dance Floor
Our floor rests on a system of 2900 high density
foam blocks to absorb the shock and impact of regular dance movements.
This benefits students by reducing fatigue and preventing injury that
can result from dancing on hard surfaces. The top layer of our flooring surface is a professional
vinyl composite "marley" floor similar to the surfaces used by Royal
Academy of Dance, and Riverdance-the-Touring Show. This marley floor
surface has a certain amount of controlled slip to allow for sliding
in dance movement, but is not slippery like common tiles found in most
other dance studios.
Preschool Dance 2-5 yrs.
Introduction to Ballet and Tap for children from
2 to 5 years of age. They will learn the basic steps and positions through
fun and exciting exercises while introducing ballet's French terminology.
The specially designed class for this age group provides a sound foundation
for the transition into classical dance training.
Mommy and Me
Teaches basic beginning Ballet and Tap movements to 1½ to 2 ½ yr. olds. Geared toward the 2 yr. old that wants to dance with Mommy in the class, or for those even younger that are already movin’ and boppin’ to the music at 1½ yrs. old! This dance class helps develop your child's motor skills and enhances creativity through imaginative play, and story telling through movement.
Dance Companies
All dance students
are given the option of performing in our year-end recital held at the Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center. Students may also
have the opportunity of participating in additional performances such as our annual Ballet production, dance showcases, workshops and community events by being a part of our Dance Companies.
